NewYou can now tap English words in the lyrics to look them up too. The meaning follows your device language: English–Japanese definitions in Japanese, Simplified or Traditional Chinese translations in Chinese, and Japanese equivalents with romaji in other languages. Idioms such as "in front of" and "give up" are looked up as idioms, and changed forms (loved → love) in their dictionary form. Pronunciation and example sentences are included, and it all works offline. The card's ••• menu also offers "Look up in the iOS dictionary".

NewLyrics whose timing was set automatically by software or AI now show an "Auto-generated" label; tap it for details. Only the timing is automatic — the words themselves were prepared by the person who posted them.

ImprovedThe Library is easier to use. Adding songs from think-songs.com no longer shifts the list under your finger, a second Apple Music song can now be added, and you can search by title, artist or album and sort by date added. Deleting songs can be undone for 8 seconds instead of asking for confirmation, and the app tells you why a song can't be played.

ImprovedWhile the app is searching think-songs.com for a song you just added, it now says "Looking for lyrics…" instead of "No lyrics file for this song". Lyrics posted later are found without reopening the app, and a search that failed because the connection dropped is retried once it is back.

FixedFixed the lyrics gradually running ahead of the audio at speeds other than 1×, and the delay of about a second before slow playback started; the sync offset now adjusts to the playback speed. "Tap Timing (measure by pressing)" is now separate from "Sync Calibration (match how lyrics look)".

FixedFixed romaji particles (such as は and を) running into the next word in lyrics timed one beat at a time (hashooto → ha shooto). Tapping a space in the lyrics no longer opens a dictionary card, and exporting lyrics now tells you where the file was saved.

FixedFixed a crash in 1.0.23: the app could quit when you opened the lyrics of a song that uses lyrics from think-songs.com, or while showing lyrics over other apps. We are sorry for the trouble.

FixedBrackets and symbols now fill in as follows (the notes for 1.0.23 described this incorrectly): symbols in the middle of a line fill like other characters, and those at the start or end of a line fill at the speed of the neighbouring character, taking at most 0.4 seconds.

FixedWhen showing lyrics over other apps, the lyrics no longer get stuck on the song title after the song changes, and lyrics that failed to load because the connection dropped are loaded again once it is back.

ImprovedWhen you finish "Edit Text", you are told if a line has timings that go backwards.

FixedMore accurate timing: fixed timings stamped after changing the speed while paused coming out late, "Cut" at the end of a word not being recorded before a full-width space, and a skipped opening bracket staying lit from the start of the song.

ImprovedThe starting sync offset for Bluetooth, AirPlay and car audio devices you connect for the first time has been revised (the lyrics tended to run ahead of the sound). Devices you have already adjusted keep their setting.

NewFor many words, the dictionary card can now open an example sentence with its English translation. Lyrics from think-songs.com carry per-song corrections so the right word is looked up, and more words can be found, including katakana words and words the analyser split apart.

ImprovedAuthors' background images are now kept on your device instead of being downloaded again each time the song changes. Set the limit in Advanced Settings (100 MB by default).

NewTap a word in the lyrics to see what it means in English — built for people learning Japanese, to use alongside romaji. It looks up only the word you tapped, in a dictionary bundled with the app (so it works offline), finds the dictionary form even when the word is conjugated, and marks negative and potential forms so the meaning isn't read backwards. Words that share a spelling but differ in reading are told apart (空 = sora / kara).

NewYou can now press and hold a meaning to select and copy it, and the menu can open the word or its meaning in a web translator in your own language. The first press-and-hold or copy no longer freezes the app for a few seconds.

ImprovedRomaji can now be turned on from Advanced settings, without changing your device language. Turning it on enables the dictionary as well.

ImprovedWhile you are reading a word's meaning, the lyrics no longer jump back to the playing line on their own — use "Back to current line" when you want to return.

ImprovedThe timing editor now shows when an MP3 is playing. MP3 cannot be seeked to the sample, so timings shift each time you play or seek; tapping the badge takes you to converting it to a format that doesn't.
